| That was a nice article, but my husband suffers from Type II diabetes due to the fact that his entire family does. It is genetic in his case; however, we have found that an ingredient in most pre-packaged foods contains "hydrogenated oils" or "mono and diglycerides," which can actually cause or hinder Type II diabetes, so he doesn't eat anything with those oils in it. Even if the oils are "partially" hydrogenated, they can cause this. Since avoiding these oils and pre-packaged foods, his blood sugar levels have decreased significantly, although he still takes medication for diabetes. Avoiding these oils can also lead to weight loss, which is good for him. I think making everything from scratch is just the healthiest way to eat anyway.

| Yes I hope this stuff is the real deal for people with diabetes. Even 30 points will make a tremedous help. I would always ask a medical professional prior to taking such things. I would atleast ask my pharmacist to ensure that there is no medications that clash and cause serious injury.

| I like very much your husband's approach to diabetes especially when it comes to dieting, have a cousin of mine who is suffering from type2 diabetes and what keeps him going is the fact that,he does workouts and dieting not forgetting his control drugs.http://www.absoluteherbal.co.uk Last edited on Fri Jun 13th, 2008 08:23 am by Absoluteherb
