Naturally Slowing Down the Aging Process

Posted on March 19th, 2007 in various by admin

Aging is a natural and beautiful process, and one that doesn’t necessarily mean becoming inactive and unhealthy. Extending our youthful attributes into our old age is something that can be naturally accomplished through proper health and dieting. With the right natural remedies it is possible to actually slow down the body’s aging process. These methods have been researched thoroughly and have been shown to scientifically reduce certain aspects of the aging process. I know that may sound too good to be true, but read on a bit as I explain some of the most effective natural methods to decelerate the undesirable effects of aging.

So what is aging exactly, and why would we want to slow down the process? That may sound like simple questions with obvious answers, and indeed they are not very complicated but they are definitely worth being asked. In simple terms, aging is the process of becoming older. As this process occurs, something called cellular senescence occurs, which is where individual cells cannot divide and as a result the body cannot regenerate like it once could. This leads to susceptibility to more diseases, as well as the proliferation of free radicals in the body, which are known to cause cancer. Slowing down this process will not only increase your life span, but also your quality of life.

Luckily, there are many natural substances that slow down cellular senescence. Antioxidants have been shown to decrease the rate of cellular decay, along with essential vitamins, such as vitamin C. Noni juice is perhaps the best in this regards, since it is not only a powerful antioxidant, but also has many other immunity boosting and anti-inflammatory properties. Green tea is another powerful antioxidant, which explains why some swear by both noni juice and green tea. Combining natural remedies such as noni with a healthy diet of fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, and nuts is a great way to curtail the body’s aging process and cellular decay.

There’s no reason why aging has to be a negative experience when there’s still so much life to live. With the proper natural supplements and diet you can not only slow down the aging process, but also increase your quality of life. And remember, it’s never too late to start living healthy!

Daily Essential Nutrients – Most Can Be Covered by Fruits and Vegetables

Posted on March 7th, 2007 in various by admin

One of the most common arguments I hear against vegetarianism is that it’s impossible to get all your essential proteins, vitamins, and minerals from fruits and vegetables alone. This is essential a bit of common knowledge that can be more accurately described as a common myth. Although at first glance it may be difficult to think of what exactly you would eat to gain all your essential nutrients, with only a bit of research it is easy to figure out the proper food to eat. Now I myself am not a vegetarian, but for awhile in my life I was actually vegan, so I am extremely experienced in this subject and speak from first hand experience. Without further ado, let me explain what fruits, vegetables, and nuts to eat in order to achieve your essential nutrients.

First off, let’s start by talking about protein. Protein is commonly thought to be derived mainly from animal based food, but that’s not the case. Of course soy related products come to mind as a good alternative source of protein, as well as beans, peas, and lentil. Nuts are often overlooked, but most nuts are high in protein and vitamins, making them a healthy choice in any diet. Also, anything made from grain or brown rice will satisfy your body’s protein requirements.

Carbohydrates are easy to take in, and almost everything you eat has them. Of course fruits and fruit juices such as noni juice are packed with carbs, as well as many other healthy enzymes, making them a great source for all your carbohydrate needs. Potatoes and white rice are also two amazing and healthy sources of carbs that don’t have a sweet side to them.

So what about our essential minerals, calcium and iron? We all know calcium is an extremely essential mineral for the health of your bones, and a healthy diet should consist of around 1,000mg per day (it varies by age.) Almonds contain a large amount of calcium, as well as magnesium, copper, and vitamin B2. Figs, sea weed, and parsley also contain large amounts of calcium. In terms of iron, most nuts and seeds contain more than enough for your body to thrive.

That brings us to vitamins, which is where fruits and vegetables really show of their value. Carrots and tomatoes easily fulfill your vitamin A needs; vitamin B from mushroom and potatoes; vitamin C from oranges and other citrus fruits; D from exposure to the sun itself; and E from your favorite nuts (which also fulfill your need for essential fats.

So there you go. Most essential nutrients can be covered by fruits, vegetables, and nuts. And I merely scratched the surface to illustrate my point. There are many different diets you can use to achieve the same balance of essential nutrients. So next time somebody tries telling you otherwise, simply point them here.

Suppressing the Cure: Why Sick People Equals Big Money

Posted on February 15th, 2007 in various by admin

The pharmaceutical companies make billions of dollars from your poor health, which begs the question; would they ever want you to be truly healthy? If a cure for cancer were found today, would the pharmaceutical industry suppress it in order to continue the outrageous cost of cancer treatment? These are some serious questions, which some may call paranoid, but given multi-billion dollar corporation’s tendency to put money over everything else, it doesn’t sound that far fetched to me.

Some people would argue that there have already been cures for cancer that were suppressed by those who had a financial motive to keep people sick. One such example is Royal Raymond Rife, who is unarguably one of the greatest medical scientists of the 19th and 20th century. Having won numerous awards and inventing many revolutionary medical devices, Rife went on to create an instrument that could kill viruses by sending specific frequencies to the affected area. These frequencies were calculated to oscillate at the correct wave length that resonated with the microbes, and in 1934 Rife was documented by the University of Southern California as having cured 16 people of cancer using his technology. However, Rife’s critical acclaim from the medical community died shortly after this breakthrough, and without apparent cause or reason. His labs were raided, papers seized, and his career essentially ended without warrant.

It’s not just cancer that the drug companies want to protect, but all manners of viruses, diseases, and illnesses. What if someone cured allergies? Billions of dollars would be lost. How about a cure for asthma? Billions of dollars lost again. The bottom line is that sickness makes a lot of people rich, and that millions of healthy people mean billions of dollars lost to the big drug companies. The drugs that the pharmaceutical companies are pushing on us are nothing more then half measures meant to keep us ill so that we will continue to buy their products; pills that make us feel just good enough so that we think its working. I’ve always wondered how so many people could claim such amazing results with holistic medicine, and I think this might explain that to a large degree. It seems very possible that the holistic medicines and complete cures that the medical industry dismisses as hoaxes are actually the true medicines which they are desperately trying to hide in order to sell their inadequate pills and poisonous treatments. Of course, maybe I’m wrong, but it’s hard not to under estimate the power of corporate greed.

Fruit juice vs. Milk: Which one is better?

Posted on February 8th, 2007 in various by admin

From the time we are old enough to talk; it seems that our mothers are always trying to educate us on the importance of calcium. Milk in a glass, milk in a bowl with cereal – it doesn’t matter how its consumed, but nevertheless, it is vital to one’s health. Studies have shown that those who drink at least one glass of milk a day will have a better chance at fighting off osteoporosis and other bone deficiency problems. But is milk the most beneficial drink? According to many, fruit juice may actually be home to more advantages.

While milk leaves us our bones healthy and strong, it doesn’t boost our metabolism, increase energy, or fight the common cold. Surprisingly, natural fruit [/tag]juice[/tag] can improve the quality of your life. By drinking such sweet liquids, you will certainly see a difference in how you look and feel. Just not sure which fruit juice to choose? Apple juice, for instance, is one of the most popular drinks around the globe. Aside from its fame, it also is enormously healthy. It is, after all, always included in the phrase, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Not only does it reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other harmful illnesses, but it is filled with antioxidants. As most know, these important nutrients are vital in every part of your body. They keep your skin glowing, your hair healthy, and your immune system strong. In addition, they also fight off cancer – which is imperative in today’s dwindling society.

If apple juice just isn’t your favorite, there are plenty of other alternatives. One of the newest trends is noni juice; a natural fruit juice that began its journey among the tropical islands. Providentially, it is filled with nutrients that keep you energized, fight off viruses that are constantly trying to get the best of us, and most importantly, alleviate joint pain. No matter how healthy you are, noni juice can certainly reduce the annoyances in our lives.

Grapefruit juice is another beneficial liquid. Crammed with vitamin c, grapefruit juice actually focuses on preventing colds. Moreover, it reduces the symptoms, which leave many able to continue with their daily routine. Studies have also shown that grapefruit juice eliminates the risk of kidney stones and lowers cholesterol. For those who just can’t seem to get a hold of their diet, this is a wonderful booster.

Despite the fact that milk is a necessity in every day life, juice should also be added to your nutrition plan. After all, both are vital if you are searching for a healthy lifestyle. Let’s face it – at some point, we all will age, and the effects will start to wear us down. For this reason, we need calcium to keep our bones strong and antioxidants from juice to boost our energy and immune system. Without these liquids, it will be difficult to get through the day. noni juice, grapefruit or apple juice – it doesn’t matter which one you crave. As long as you try to treat yourself every few days, the results will be phenomenal.

Diabetes and fruit juices

Posted on February 4th, 2007 in various by admin

Diabetes is becoming more prevalent in the world and especially the United States today. With developments in the field of medical science, it is becoming more commonly diagnosed. However, because of research that is being conducted every day for this illness, new developments in treatments are becoming more commonly known. Some are medicinal but many are changes that children and adults with diabetes can make in their everyday lives. While little children may not understand why their diet is different than their friends, their parents and other adults with diabetes must understand what changes need to be made in order for to have a healthy body and a good quality of life. It is imperative that specific changes be made to the diet of a person with diabetes, most of which are easily incorporated into a diet.

There are two primary types of diabetes in the world today: type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. With type 1 diabetes, the body is unable to produce insulin, preventing glucose to enter and subsequently fuel the cells in the body. With type 2 diabetes, the body cannot properly use insulin. Most people with diabetes have type 2 diabetes. While there is no cure, a diet consisting of approximately 40% to 60% carbohydrates while keeping sugar intake low is common.

A high intake of carbohydrates is generally recommended in the diet of a person with diabetes. Fruit is an excellent source of carbohydrates. It has many nutrients and other vitamins that the body needs without a lot of fat. For a child with diabetes, fruit can be substituted for another, less healthy snack such as chips. However, many people may question the consistent incorporation of fruit into the diet because of the sugar content in these foods. However, it has been found in recent years that including some sugar in the daily diet will not damage the body. While solid fruit is beneficial to a daily diet, if it is not directly from the fruit itself (if it is canned, in yogurt, etc) it may have added sugars that could potentially harm a person with diabetes.

Fruit juices are a great way to incorporate fruit into the diet of a person with diabetes. Many of them, such as the noni juice, are completely natural, and do not add sugar to the mix. For example, the noni juice comes from a plant found in the Pacific Islands. The juice is made from this small, avocado sized fruit without any added sugars. This natural fruit juice has stood the test of time, as it has been used by people for thousands of years.

In addition to being a staple in the diet of a diabetic, natural fruit juices like this are often used to regulate blood sugar levels. In addition, they are portable, great for long trips, and are healthier than munching on a snack high in fat.

People with diabetes have to monitor their intake of sugars more than the average person, and drinking fruit juices is a great way of doing that. They taste great, are portable and do not have any added sugar, fitting in perfectly with anyone’s lifestyle.

How to Keep your Pets Healthy

Posted on January 28th, 2007 in various by admin

Around the globe people are obsessed over pets. From cats to dogs, birds, lizards, and horses – it seems that every species is praised and spoiled. Seeing as this is the norm, it is no surprise why many pet owners are going to great lengths in order to keep their furry friends healthy. Consequently, many unmarked methods are hitting the mainstream pet market. Are you desperate to have a healthy and happy pet? Fortunately, it is not difficult to do so.

Years ago, most of us cringed at the thought of purchasing our own health insurance. We didn’t want to shell out thousands of dollars, yet we also didn’t want to end up in debt, if an emergency were to occur. For this reason, we naturally shut our mouths and dealt with the consequences. In today’s society, most would not imagine going through life without health insurance. So when pet health insurance emerged, it was certainly not a shock. Seeing as we consider these animals as human beings, there is no reason why we wouldn’t want to be covered, if something were to happen. Far too often we have to spend an abundance of cash on vet bills and medical emergencies. Conveniently, if a pet owner has pet insurance, it will undeniably cover a large amount of the charges. From prescription drugs to emergency vet visits to even blood work and x-rays, health insurance can be a lifesaver. If you’re looking to keep your pets healthy, this is a wonderful opportunity. Thus, you can peacefully sleep at night knowing that they will be safe if something happened, without going bankrupt.

Another way to keep your pets healthy is through common sense. That’s right – the usual nutritional diet and exercise. While these are both great, there are additional things to try. Currently, natural supplements work wonders on animals. It doesn’t matter if they aren’t suffering from joint pain or another debilitating illness. Supplements such as Noni Juice can keep pets healthy and strong, without experiencing any side effects. This organic juice, derived from the tropical islands, has been helping millions of humans and animals for centuries. If your animal is suffering from diabetes or arthritis, this fruit juice will also reduce the pain, inflammation, and discomfort. With such phenomenon’s taking place thanks to Noni Juice, every pet owner should be taking this product for a trial run.

Whether your pets are healthy or need a boost, these tips are highly recommended. Although most veterinarians always suggest diet and a strict exercise regimen, there are other things you can do. Natural supplements are a great herbal alternative, especially if you are looking for a safe way to keep your pets healthy. In addition, pet health insurance is a smart purchase. After all, no one ever knows when an accident or emergency is going to strike.
